Chrome Extensions Technical Tutorial

Grammerly

The first extension I'll be talking about is Grammerly. The purpose of Grammerly is to help out with your writing. It helps find errors in your writing and corrects it. Having Grammerly as one of your extensions is a necessity because it can help you get your grade up, or make you sound educated/professional. Students can use this for their papers.

How to Use it

1. Click on Grammerly (it should be on the top right corner). 

      2. If you want to see your errors, turn it on the on setting below the title. With this setting on, if you have any errors in the document you're typing on, a red underline will show up.

      3. You can also turn on the definitions and synonyms below. If you hover over the underlined error in your document it will give you options. 

      4. You can also change the language to what you write in (unfortunately only American English and British English are available).

      5. At the bottom, you see the buttons "New Document" and "My Grammarly." If you press "New Document" then it will lead to a new tab on grammarly.com. If you press "My Grammarly" it will lead you to your home page in your account on Grammarly. 

      

Overall this extension is very easy to use, and it did what it said it would do. I do recommend that you try the Grammerly extension out. If you want try it out, here's the link.

Gmail

The second extension I'll be talking about is Gmail. The purpose of Gmail is to compose emails, or to look at your emails. It helps you keep up with what's going on, or send and get documents, files, links you need. Having Gmail as one of your extensions is a necessity because it can help you get to your emails faster than typing in the URL. Adults can use this for their jobs.

How to Use it

1. Click on Gmail in the top right corner. 

     2. It will then lead you to your gmail.

Overall this extension is very easy to use, and it did what it said it would do. I do recommend that you try the Gmail extension out. If you want to try this out, here's the link.

Screencastify

The last extension I'll be talking about is Screencastify. The purpose of Screencastify is to record whatever is on your screen. It helps you record your screen without actually getting a recording device, like your phone, to record what you want to record on your screen of your desktop or laptop. Having Screencastify as one of your extensions is a necessity because it can help you record easily. This can be used by those who make tutorials or videos.

How to Use it

1.  Click on Screencastify on the top right corner.

     2. It will ask you to make an account if you don't already have one, so make one if you don't.

     3. After making your account, it will show you a tutorial on how to use Screencastify.
