color wheel
This is a color wheel I made. The colors touching the triangle (not the dashed line) are primary colors. And the ones touching the dashed triangle are secondary colors. The rest are teritary colors, mixing primary and secondary colors together.
ANALOGOUS: 3 colors next to each other
TRIAD: a color scheme that colors that are evenly spaced out on the color wheel
COMPLIMENTARY: 1 color across another color look good together
SPLIT COMPLIMENTARY: same as above, but colors on both sides of complimentary
ex: yellowgreen, bluegreen, redorange, and redviolet
HUE: pure, no tint/shade
SHADE: color with black
TINT: color with white
MONOCHROMATIC: mono means one, chromatic means color, different tints/shades of 1 color, black/white add to 1 color
